First BJJ class of sem 2!
Its nice to see some familiar faces. Ok back to business. Here are the things that we have learnt during the class.
1. Mount- It is the most important technique because it provides the most advantageous position. Try to get it if you can! That is the reason why it is taught over and over again for the classes.
2. Side control- Have to have control over the upper body, which will lead to transition.
3. Escape side M
4. Escape open guard- escape from a bad position.
5. Escape from mount- Important too, since the person will try to mount you all the time!!! This technique stresses on the leverage, where you have to find a pivot point and then you can flip, sweep to reverse. Like swinging a door open. You can also grip on his love handle like this guy here =) (Around the 2:20 mark)

Thats all for today! Next week there will be more exciting skills to learn!
